Our Active Older Adult program, known as A.O.A. provides a fun opportunity for members to participate in fitness classes, social events, water exercise, and even trips across North Carolina! Open Doors

The YMCA is honored to offer a nurturing, safe and fun environment for all families in need. This scholarship is available only to discount the Family Value Membership fee or Non-Member program fees.

OPEN DOORS: Our year-round financial assistance program called "Open Doors" may be applied for at any YMCA branch by submitting the following documents for all household adults:

  • current year tax form (1040 or proof of non-filing)
  • two most recent paycheck stubs or unemployment award letter
  • verification of government assistance (SNAP benefits, housing subsidy, etc.)
  • verification of student loan/grant income
  • verification of other private assistance (community organizations, churches, etc.)

Beat the Heat 5K: August 5th

Can you handle the heat? Come join us on August 5th for our First Annual Beat the Heat: Boot Camp 5K . For race details and registration, please contact one of our three branches at 910.426.9622!


Partnering With the Community!

The YMCA and the Cape Fear Botanical Garden partner together to provide "Yoga in the Garden" every Wednesday evening at 6 PM. Classes take place at the Botanical Garden and are free to both YMCA and Botanical Garden members. Call (910) 486-0221 to register ahead of time.


Kids Night Out

During June, July, and August, we will not be holding KNO. It will restart on the third Saturday in September!
