Health and Fitness in Fayetteville NC: YMCAs have led health and fitness programs for people of all ages and abilities for more than a century. We put the focus on wellness for your body, mind, and spirit. The Y offers the equipment, programs, and support to empower you to accomplish your wellness goals. Every YMCA member can receive a wellness center orientation led by a professional of our wellness team. If you are interested in long-term or short-term coaching, call your home branch and ask about personal training sessions.

Group Exercise

Group exercise will get you connected in the Y community! Get a fun, energetic workout while you move to the beat in the camaraderie of others. Members are encouraged to work at your own pace and, of course, have fun!

Class Descriptions

We strive to accommodate members of all ages, abilities and physical fitness levels by offering a wide range of classes designed to help make you and your family strong physically, mentally and spiritually!

Barre Sculpt: Elongate, sculpt and tone your way to a leaner, stronger body.

Boot Camp: a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core and functional movement patterns. Everything from push-ups, lunges, crunches, drills and sprints. This class will challenge you!

Butts & Guts: A low impact class to focus on lower body and core strengthening.

Cycling: High energy indoor cycling workout, great for those looking for a lower-impact exercise to get in shape and burn calories!

HIIT Express: Thirty-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Instructors rotate weekly to give you a variety of HIIT styles that will challenge your entire body. High and low modifications available.

Insanity: A cardio-based interval training program for total body conditioning.

Les Mills Body Attack: This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises.

Les Mills Body Pump: A barbell class that will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast!

Les Mills Body Combat: Is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu.

Pilates: A low-impact mat class focusing on developing core stability, balance and stamina. Designed for all levels, students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core.
Pilates Barre: A ballet inspired workout where participants perform standing exercises at the barre for 30 minutes and then move to the mat for the last 30 minutes to complete classical Pilates movements focused on core conditioning.

PiYo: A combination of pilates and yoga, designed to build strength and stability, while gaining flexibility in a fun & challenging class that is sure to make you sweat.

P90X LIVE: An intense routine that provides a rich variety! From cardio to resistance training, strength training, plyometrics, ab work and more.

Rage: Performed around the RAGE CAGE this high intensity class will get your heart rate up and burn more fat in less the time. The RAGE CAGE system includes dips, monkey bars, Olympic rings, trampoline toss, plyo-steps and boxing for a functional full body workout

Silver Sneakers or Silver Fit: Is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health. We offer both Muscular Strength & Range of Motion (MSROM) classes, as well as Chair Yoga to increase flexibility and range of motion.

Step Aerobics: High impact aerobics class utilizing the step.

Strong by Zumba: A high-intensity interval training class using traditional fitness moves for a more athletic, conditioning style workout.

TRX Suspension Training: Bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.

Turbo Kick: A total body workout that will prepare you for whatever punches life throws your way, while improving strength, stamina, balance and coordination.

Warrior Wellness: A group fitness exercise class for those battling life's wounds and injuries.

Yoga: Improves flexibility, increases stamina, builds strength and relaxation through postures and breathing techniques. Exclusive to our Hope Mills branch, look for Hot Yoga on the schedule.

ZUMBA: Exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.

KIDS NIGHT OUT

Parents enjoy a night out while we watch the kids! A fun night for the kids that includes music, games, swimming, making new friends, pizza and more! Every THIRD SATURDAY at the Fayetteville Branch!


PREP Preschool Care at the HOPE MILLS Y BRANCH

8:30am- 12:00pm Monday ~ Friday, 2 1/2 - 5 years of age who are potty-trained. MEMBER cost: $39/week, Non-Member cost: $49/week. Registration Fee $35 per Non-Member. Program features ABeka, Montessori, sports-play, healthy snack, social skills, Bible Verses, monthly field trips and more.
