Active Older Adults (AOA) at the YMCA experience a strong sense of belonging and create a network of friends that supports sustained health and well-being.
Through ongoing, fun, safe, and engaging programs, AOA members build relationships and increase self-confidence while celebrating the successes of each community member.
At the YMCA, we’ve made the health and fitness of our seniors a top priority by providing programs for the spirit, mind, and body. The YMCA brings seniors together for camaraderie, fellowship, and fun through group exercise classes, aquatic programs that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes, social events, and volunteer activities. Most senior programs are free for Y members.
Come join your YMCA friends for social gatherings and informative health presentations, which include coffee and light snacks. If you are interested in forming a special interest group, see your branch's Health & Wellness Coordinator.
