At the YMCA of the Sandhills, we believe staying healthy, connected and active doesn't stop with age--it gets better. Our Active Older Adults (AOA) programs are designed to support your whole self: body, mind and spirit. Aging adults and seniors find a strong sense of belonging and a network of friends that supports sustained health and well-being!
From fitness classes tailored to all ability levels, to water workouts that are easy on the joints, the Y provides opportunities for aging adults to keep moving and strong with confidence. Just as important, the Y offers ways to connect, whether that's enjoying coffee with friends after class, getting together for lunch or learning a new skill. Most programs are free for seniors.

Shield Medical will join us to talk about new blood tests approved by Medicare to check for colon cancer. Learn more, get questions answered and sign up for the new test if desired on October 29 at 10 am at the Y. It's free, and a licensed nursed will draw blood. Results will be sent to you and you can share it with your doctor.
