Through YMCA of the Sandhills Youth Sports programs, kids in Harnett County and Cumberland County gain more than just athletic skills—they learn teamwork resilience, and confidence. Our programs include clinics with dedicated coaches and instructors support each child's growth.
Children reach their full potential when they are healthy in spirit, mind, and body. That's why the Y connects kids to caring adult role models whose example and leadership teach critical character values and life skills ranging from how to be a good student, a good sport and a good citizen-while teaching the fundaments of a sport and having fun!
Come join us to get in the game!
Kids aged 3-5 are invited to kick off the fun with our Tiny Tots Soccer program and 2- to 3-year olds are invited to our Itty Bitty Soccer program, both at the Fayetteville YMCA in Cumberland County this fall! This indoor program is designed to help little athletes build confidence and skills through age-appropriate drills, games and plenty of encouragement. Each sessions includes instructional time, a stretch session and plenty of play for improvement weekly.
In September, kids aged 5-10 joined us at the kids aged 5-10 Saleeby Family YMCA in Cameron, NC, to learn and build on the fundamentals of basketball while building confidence and teamwork. Players met weekly to practice skills, play games and grow the Y's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
